Jack sat in the television room, not like he would usually be sat with a cocky smirk upon his face relaxed and comfy, instead his knees were pulled up and his spine was curved as he rested his head onto them, his hands wrapped loosely around as his eyes stared blankly at the TV. There was a football game on that he wasn’t really paying much attention to. He’d been here a week already, and already he was sure he was losing himself more than he’d ever done before, or maybe finding himself. He’d shed far too many tears, he hadn’t shaved and he’d grown to living in pyjamas that the Sanatorium had provided him with. What was the point in wearing clothes when there was nowhere to go? He was still shuck up about Theo but even more shuck up about the direction of his life. He was just a boy, he was fine and then one day everything broke, except for one thing. He had one person in his life that he was terrified this little stint had lost him. Larrissa. He didn’t have a clue how she was but there was nothing more that he wanted except to hug her, and to be with her. They’d been together for two years and so their last year had been a mockery of a relationship but the first was really nice and she was the only person he actually had. Jack let out a quiet sigh as a team scored, he wasn’t sure which team, he wasn’t even sure who was playing, he was just sure that he looked a mess and that he felt ten times worse than he looked. Life in the Sanatorium was one of the most scariest things he’d ever done. He hadn’t slept well since arriving which was mostly out of fear, especially since his first run in with Nyree. There were too many psychos in this place and Jack was just a victim of circumstance. He was afraid he would die inside of here.

Acacia couldn't face seeing her sister. She'd come to the Sanitarium, but she couldn't bring herself to see her, she was still plucking up the courage. She had headed to the coffee machine and got herself a mily, sweet, hot drink, and she headed to the television room just for somewhere to sit for a while.
She had a bundle under her arm, she had started bringing Nyree some of her things, she hoped it would make her twin behave better. Perhaps they could even use them as an inscentive? She didn't know. But the budle under one arm, and the cup in the other hand, made the door a little more difficult to open. But, she did do it eventually.
She turned and scanned the room. Not many people, the regulars. But one person caught her eye in particular. She had seen him at school, but couldn't remember his name for the life of her. It made her think that she'd had very little to do with him. But, she couldn't help but wonder why he was here. She wouldn't ask though, if she remembered correctly, he was a prep, but she had been wrong about Ashley...?
She sat down on a chair near him, but not too close, just in case he was unfriendly.

The sound of a girl walking in stole his attention and automatically he started to feel sick. Was it the scary girl or her twin? He didn’t know which he’d prefer, one of them wanted to kill him and as for the other one she could kill his reputation. If she took a photo or something that would be enough to get him kicked into the same clique as Hayven, an outsider. The thought alone made him want to vomit. The only person who needed to know about this was Larrissa and if he and her could get through this then that was all that mattered. Jack didn’t want anybody else to know, they wouldn’t understand, no one would. He breathed deeply. Today was the type of day that he wished he could rip his face off. He raised his hands to his face, almost as if he was playing his own game of hide and seek but he had to cause some deterrence until he had a plan to get rid of his face, and then she wouldn’t recognise him.
He grabbed his top and pulled it up over his head, only instead of taking it off his head he left it there. There was less chance of her recognising his body than there was his face. Of course now he couldn’t see anything and he couldn’t exactly pretend that he was watching the television either, and he probably looked more crazy than ever. But sometimes reputation was more important than having a silly place to hide and this was certainly one of those days. He wondered if he should change his voice, put on some weird accent. If he could keep it hidden then she’d never know, and he could force his hair to grow, he could grow some stubble and then he could become a different person and then when he got out he could shave, cut his hair, go back to his usual accent and act as if he’d never met her again. It was a plan and a half, now he only needed to grow some hair.

She watched him out of the corner of her eye with slight curiousity. She wondered what the hell he was doing. He looked very odd. He was drawing quite a lot of attention to himself. Well, if they'd been in normal society, it would have, in here no-one really paid a lot of attention to him. She popped her drink and bundle down on the coffee table in front of her before doing anything.
She moved to the next seat along and leaned forward as if to check there weren't a reason for his peculiar actions. She couldn't see one. She breached the gap between them so she was sat next to him, she coughed gently, she didn't want to startle him. 'Em... excuse me.... are you alright?' she asked. 'I can get someone if you need help?' Maybe he was here because he was a patient? She supposed he wouldn't be at school though. She suddenly became very aware that she was the only person that had spoken since she had entered... her own voice sounded weird in the silence. She hoped he would respond, otherwise she would be quite unsure of how to act.

Jack let out a groan as he heard a voice addressing him, at least he thought it was addressing him. He pulled his shirt down so that he could look out, showing off his eyes, to the strange stranger who probably wanted to see his identity. But what was she doing here, maybe she was a reporter, maybe she was on Myers alerts and wanted a photo just to embarres him. He knew there were rumours going around about his whereabouts but he didn't want proof! "I don't need help!" Jack stated dramatically as he felt a scowl set itself firmly over his forehead. Why was she trying to torture him with humiliation? He was hiding from her, couldn't she see that. What a joke this whole thing was, he was putting Larrissa's chance of prom queen at risk. She would kill him if he got snapped in the nut house.
He crossed his arms over his bare chest stubbornly and heaved a heavy breath. Things weren't supposed to happen like this. "I just have scars on my face that I don't want people to see... do you want to upset me by seeing my scars?" he reponded, quite impressed by his ability to lie. Surely she wouldn't be able to see past it and if she could he could just prove it to her, not that his face really did have scars but he could find a feature and turn it into one at the drop of the hat easily. "Are you alright, if you need any help I could go and get someone?!" Jack repeated her almost sarcastically.

She was quite taken aback at how rude, and weird this guy was being. Perhaps he was a patient. 'Jeez!' she said under her breath with a sigh. She made a mental note never, ever to cross this guy's path, at school or otherwise. He was obviously a tad unhinged. She honestly doubted whether he had scars on his face. He needed to work on his lying. There was much improvement to be had.
She backed away slowly to where she had been sat before. Mental patients didn't like sudden movements. She picked up her hot cup of tea and sipped as fast as she could without scolding herself. She didn't want to leave her drink, but on the other hand, she didn't really want to be alone (ish) in a room with that guy anymore. But she knew that once she had left here she had to see her sister - she honestly didn't know which was worse today.
At least he hadn't been violent. Words, sure, she'd remember them, curse herself for not saying something clever back, but eebtually she'd forget them. She remembered when her sister used to be violent. What with her being the stronger twin, Acacia always came worst off. Though, her other sister and parents had suffered more injuries than she.

Jack watched, an eyebrow angrily raised as she backed slowly away from him. It made him feel as if he was some aggressive dog or snake that you needed to get away from. And so he stood up, and walked towards her, copying her pace. "Don't take the piss out of me. I'm not a fucking pit bull!" Jack growled as he crossed his arms over his chest, standing over her.
He pulled his tee back from his face. Now was time for serious damage control and he was a prep so he could probably pull it off. In order to be preppy damage control was a serious must do. He narrowed his eyes and placed his fingertips over the sides of the seat, leaning towards her and trapping her onto the chair, only the air between them. "I don't know who you think you are but if I find out that you speak a word of this meeting to anyone you wont have such a bright future anymore. College for you will be the last thing on your mind, and once I'm through with you you will be the patient here." Jack threatened quietly as he tried to stare her down. "Do you understand me? Am I speaking English or are a fucking lunetic with a bad hair do?" He inhaled deeply and stood up although still above her. "And by the way, quit treating me like I'm insane."

She wanted to laugh as he growled about not being a pitbull - she wanted to ask really? but thought better of it. She frowned up at him as he got inreasingly close to her. Had this guy ever heard of personal space? She guessed not.
'Stop acting like it then,' she said, glaring back up at him, though her tone stayed calm and low. If he wanted to be treated normal, then he should act it.
'I don't care what you do in your spare time, and think about it, who would I tell, and who would believe me?' she said, hoping he would think logically about this and then leave her alone. He was a prep, and she was a nerd. No-one would believe her over him. No-one. She didn't know what he was so concerned about anyway. Shouldn't he be practicing his pout in a mirror anyway?
She finished her tea and stood, picking up her package, but leaving the cup behind. She was a couple of inches shorter than him, but she squared her shoulders, acting braver than she actually felt. She looked him square in the eye before turning to leave. She knew that at school, he would probably now take any opportunity he had to show her up. But they both knew the real reason that he has his panties in a twist.

She was angering him by the minute and the second. Why did she have to react back, why couldn't she just cower under his gaze and beg for him not to hurt her? That was all he wanted of her to do, to cry and to plead. "If you don't watch your mouth I will be a fucking pitbull and rip your throat out with my teeth." Jack warned her aggresively.
She tried to reason to him but he just shook his head. She had a point but Jack didn't want to hear it, it was too risky anybody knowing about him being in here. It would just ruin everything. "You know who I am?!" he questioned, an eyebrow raised. Perhaps his coverup wasn't as efficiant as he thought it was, perhaps she could see right through him. Jack grabbed at the tee and threw it down back onto the couch. If she knew who he was there was no point in hiding. Anyway Jack thought his appearance brought him power so maybe it would today. "Well if you do tell nyone I'm serious I will ruin you. You think you have little friends now well just you wait!" he threatened. Maybe he would get Larrissa onto her case then she really would be destroyed.
Jack glared at her as she squared off to him. "You should go on a diet, it would do you good." he glowered. One more insult was always necessary.

She shook her head as he threw yet more insults at her. This guy really was despicable. She just let his insults go over the top of her head, she didn't care what he thought anyway. Why would she?
She merely looked him up and down with a smile when he said about her needing to diet. She knew that her weight was exactly where it should be. His BMI was at least a couple of points higher than hers, he obviously didn't know what he was talking about. No surprise there. But she didn't say anything, she wasn't about to sink to his level. She left the television room silently, shutting the door behind her. Her mind started to wander as to why he reacted so angrily. Maybe he had mental problems? She didn't think so. Perhaps he had family problems... someone in the sanitarium, and he was angry at everyone, not just her. She was sure that was it. She smiled, knowing that however her family problems were she would never be as foul as he.
