The MORNING after the NIGHT before?!

For all of the money being spent into living in the dorms there would be less for even getting into college, but the idea of spending any more time at home with his abusive father was beyond any ideals that Jack had ever had. There was only one part of home which appealed to him and that was his memories. To look into his brothers old room and see everything as it once was, it was almost as though he was still here. Nevertheless memories could be brought with you and Jack intended to keep those ones locked and hidden away until a later day.

He stretched out on the couch in the living area of the dorm and wrinkled his nose as he awoke. He was in nothing but a pair of white Calvin Klein boxer shorts, and an accompanying head ache from a past night. The stench of smoke and alcohol consumed him as he struggled to find the energy to stretch out. Jack couldn’t really remember much of the night before but if he knew himself like he knew he did there was probably a reason why he was wearing his boxer shorts in the living area of his dorm, and as the result of one too many past arguments with Theo, he knew what he’d been up to had been an illegal act in public domain. Living with Theo caused far too many complications especially when Jack was drunk. He wasn’t exactly the type who would carefully find a place to have sex, he was a lot more the type to live on the edge and the living on the edge part of him had resulted in his sex life being more in the living area than in his own room, like Theo would have preferred. Jack opened his eyes and his thoughts had been confirmed by a discarded thong on the floor, beside a used condom. Never one for the correct hygiene. Only as to where the owner of the thong was Jack didn’t know, nor did he care. Waking up next to a girl he’d slept with when he wasn’t drunk could have dire consequences. Jack groaned as he reached out his arms and legs, wrinkling his nose once more at the headache which was starting to feel as though someone was throwing daggers into his head over and over. If he wasn’t awake he would really probably start accusing Theo of it but his eyes taught him better.

Theo sat up in his large expansive double bed. He refused to have a single bed, mainly because he liked to stretch out when he was on his own, let alone when he had company, a single bed just wouldn't work for him. He yawned and rubbed his forehead glancing at the clock glowing in the corner of his room. He'd over slept. Not that he had to be up for anything particular, he didn't have training today. He swivelled to the edge of his bed, his thigh muscles aching from his gym session the nigt before, and probably the hours he spent in the club after that. It took him a few minutes to orientate himself, before he stood up and made his way to the en-suite. Just as he'd predicted his clothes from the night before lay draped over the radiator. He picked up a pair of grey baggy fleece bottoms and pulled them on. Brushing his teeth and washing his face he picked up his disguarded jeans carrying them through to his bedroom. He searched the pockets pulling out his phone. Three missed calls and four text messages. He smiled as he read the information, realising that the three calls were from John as were two text messages, asking where the hell he was, and the other two texts from a girl he'd met asking if she could come back to his. He'd obviously been too drunk to recall and had fallen asleep before he realised what was going on. Oh well, he typed a quick reply to both explaining where he was, and inviting the girl around later on. He wasn't sure she'd go for it since girls were always different the next day.

He left his room, heading to the kitchen for some breakfast. He opened the door to a stale smell of fags and booze. He rolled his eyes irritated, making his way straight over to the windows before opening them full, ensuring the sunlight was filling the room. "Jerk." He stated bitterly, hating the smell of cigarettes. He walked past the settee and noted the sex scene reminants. "Oi Asshole. You have a bed. I don't want your fucking spunk lying on the floor!" He protested eyeing Jack. He didnt really want to touch him if he was honest, the guy was a slob. "So who you pull last night? Or did you finally decide to buck your girl?"

Jack had hoped that he’d be able to tidy up before Theo awoke but it didn’t seem like it, although he was thankful for the tasteful air that came through the open window. There was a plan B, however which Jack was very up for doing. Usually if he’d done something which Theo would find offending he would blame it on one of their unknowledgeable roommates who were yet to move in. According to Jack though there was a nasty guy who lived with them, he was a drug addict and rolled in and out, with constant late payments and a nasty smoking habit. Whenever there was a mess he would say that it was Eric who had committed the offense and today was going to be no different. Jack sat up and leant his head against the back of the couch as he moaned alongside Theo’s tantrum. One day they would probably learn to get on, or maybe never. The only half decent thing that came with Theo was John. John was someone who Jack respected, mainly for the help he’d given him on the night in which Lockdown was truly established. Although the respect seemed one sided he was willing to live with that as he was hoping that one day he and John would be able to be friends. He was like a peace man who cooled the air between Theo and Jack and when John was there a good time was always guaranteed.

”Hey, Idiot! Don’t jump to conclusions.” Jack murmured as he walked into the kitchen area to find some aspirin. Every movement felt like it was going far too slow, too mechanical and foreign to his flighty self. But that’s what a hangover did for him, it made his muscles stiff and his mind run on low batteries. ”It’s not mine, I swear this time!” Jack argued with a small smirk on his lips as he watched Theo’s face. ”I was fast asleep, on the couch, because I was too hot for my room and in comes Eric, totally spaced! He like has this girl – in fact I think she was Jamacian or something and has me up all night because he’s sleeping with her and they’re being so loud. It was just an hour ago that I finally managed to get some sleep... Eric left, but he didn’t clean up after himself, did he?!” Jack said with a frown as he scanned the crime scene once more. He would clean that up, he wasn’t expecting Theo to, but if only there was an Eric. He was like his own imaginary friend, only a lot more troublesome than the ones you had as a child. ”I’ve only ever slept with Larrissa, man, what kind of question is that!” Jack exclaimed, a disgusted look on his face as he stared at Theo from across the room. He grabbed a tissue and walked over to the condom, picking it up as he strolled over to the open window and dropped it out. Jack leaned over and watched it fall to the floor, a smile dancing lightly upon his features. ”Man, Eric really needs to start cleaning up after himself!” Jack grinned a happy smile. Winding up Theo was one of his favourite games.

Theo was just waiting for Jack to come out with his bullshit about some dick weed that shared their flat when Theo knew for a fact that it was just the two of them there. He had been the first one in the flat and had the two keys to the other rooms which occassionally he gave out if any of his pals from California came to stay. He had sort of believed Jack the first time he'd speiled his shit but Theo checked with the landlord to find it was a complete load of lies. Theo was positive that Jack thought it annoyed him, but Theo didn't really care, he was too laid back for that crap, and he found it amusing that Jack was so deluded he believed it. Theo hoped that they got two hot girls living with them but the landlord had told him it was unlikely as they tried to house male seperate because there had been too many incidents. Theo hoped Jack would move out, but he doubted it would ever happen, although they didn't get on, Theo could tolerate him and he had to because of Lockdown.

Theo grinned as Jack began his spiel. "Oh yeah, how could I forget about Eric." He stated rolling his eyes a grin on his lips as he watched Jack's hungover corpse drag itself to the sink. "Look pal, we both know you cheat on Larrissa. I really don't care. It's none of my business, so stop blaming the imaginary best friend you've got. It's tiresome." He laughed as he grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge. "Just have sex in your own room. Then you can leave all the condoms wherever you want." He responded leaning against the counter. "Who was she? Was she hot?" He asked grinning, it was the only subject the two could discuss without bickering like two old women. He knew Jack didn't smoke in the flat but he hated the stale smell he brought in, particularly when he hadn't showered. He wrinkled his nose as he noted Jack picking up the condom and dropping it out of the window. "You are rank." Theo stated bluntly taking a drink.

Jack sighed as Theo mocked him with a roll of his eyes, and so he shook his head, not quite able to understand the workings of the brain of a lunatic. But no one had lied when they told him it would be hard having a roommate, it wasn’t an exaggeration but on the upper hand it was easier than living with his dad and that had became something of a nightmare. He’d once considered just moving out and living in the Myers household but late at night, alone in that house, he’d probably end up going crazy over his brother. It would be too much to bare, even if Theo was mildly irritating. ”Yeah, I don’t know how you could forget about Eric... messy guy.” Jack pouted thoughtfully, this Eric thing really wasn’t working. Maybe he’d end up hiring someone from the street to play Eric, it would be most convenient and then he wouldn’t be wrong. There was something about being wrong which really bugged Jack and he couldn’t hack it much, there was something about lying however that seemed right.

Jack swerved around to look at Theo, scowling, ”Hey, Pal?! Remember, pal, I’m no pal of yours! And what goes on between me and Larrissa is between us two. We’re perfectly happy together, and in love, and I’m very faithful!” Jack lied, something he did quite often to his girlfriend. He wasn’t in love with her but he would tell her that and it seemed to be that lie and appearances which kept them together, as well as the great hate sex. ”You’re so annoying!” Jack groaned at Theo before throwing a pillow off his roommate. ”Eric’s real and I don’t leave condoms out. I don’t even use condoms. I prefer it like the cavemen or something,” Jack snorted, he was actually a common user of condoms. In fact he was never without one in his pocket, except for now when he was clad in only a pair of boxer shorts. ”I can’t remember. Probably though, I only pull the hotties,” Jack admitted as he smiled slightly over at Theo. He ignored his comment but reached onto the side to pick up his discarded phone. ”Two missed calls from Daddy. One text from daddy asking ‘where the fuck are you?’” Jack mused with a roll of his dad. He made sure to press delete on them all, there was no reason he needed to contact his dad, and maybe the aggression he would encounter on a later date would be horrifying for ignoring him but right now Jack was hoping to spend a day without his dad’s ironic over protective anger. ”Parents are losers. Anyway, Lockdown tomorrow. I actually have a reason to spend the majority of my nights in that wacko’s playpen, what’s yours? Why do you put yourself through the humiliation of doing shit that doesn’t make a difference to anyone? It’s fucking pointless really. If any of you guys caught any scent of him or his victim’s ghosts you’d be running a mile.” Jack droned, he hated Ouija boards and all of the ghost hunting stuff. The idea of trying to contact one of his victims was rather repulsive because really his own brother was one of those very victims and that would just destroy him. But the idea of Michael turning up was even more appealing than an orgasm. Revenge plagued his mind, but having such a large group of people ensured survival. Jack didn’t want survival.

Theo took a swig of his water, he kind of wished Jack would move out and leave town. He knew about his father's lack of money, and that Jack was mainly lying about who he was, but that wasn't for him to go tell. He just hoped that one day his fake life would fall through and they'd have to move out of Haddonfield. He couldn't really understand how Jack could afford to go to Hillcrest either, but he must have hated living with his father to have moved into the dorms. He rolled his eyes and nodded "Yeah, Illusive Eric. How could I forget." His tone was dry and sarcastic and he really couldn't be bothered with Jack's incessant lies.

Theo cocked an eyebrow at his roommate. "I know your not my friend. Pal is simply an expression. Would you prefer it if I called you Jerk off? I was simply trying to be polite. I'm pretty sure the whole of Haddonfield knows that things aren't perfect between you and her. And I know for a fact your not faithful. I really don't care. It's not like I'm going to tell her." He commented not really fussed about Jack or his response. Theo smirked curiously, and nodded. "Yep. I am annoying. If you didn't use condoms you'd have died from some sexually transmitted infection. You sleep with more girls than I do. And I'm single." Theo remarked taking another sip of water. "Were getting two new roomates next week anyway." Theo advised him, he'd been speaking to the land lord. "No idea who they are going to be yet. But hopefully... some chicks." He smirked
nodding his head. Theo picked up the pillow and threw it back at Jack. He wasn't really such a bad roommate he was just in a different clique and so they had limited things in common, except the same best friend, a football team, sharing the same flat, both being players and being in lockdown. So maybe they did have things in common but it was all pretty much superficial stuff. "Your dad always rings." Theo stated recalling the many phone calls there had been on the flat house line. "Yeah..." Theo trailed in agreement, he wasn't in total agreement; his parents were dead and so he kind of wished they were alive. Theo nodded in agreement, the whole lockdown thing was a bit stupid but Theo found it amusing, and he was scared to miss anything more than scared to see anything. "I'm not scared. I find it all very funny." He informed him, a grin on his lips. "I wouldn't mind contacting the dead. Think it would be good. I can imagine Sean and Damien would shit themselves. The girls too." He laughed smirking as he shook his head.

Jack glared over at Theo. This was the way most of their arguments started but the only problem this time was that Jack had no come back. Instead he walked into his bedroom and grabbed a pair of grey joggers up, not really wanting to be too dressy for breakfast time in the dorm. Although he was starting to wonder what day it was, whether it was a school day. His mind was blank but Theo would probably keep him right. Jack didn’t even know the time, but when Theo started applying his school uniform, Jack would do the same. It was the way it usually went although half the time Jack was never actually on time for school. It was hard to skip it though being actually on campus. It was too easy for teachers to find out if you were really ill or not.

He returned to the living area and walked over to the kitchen part, his stomach speaking for him. He was hungry, only he wasn’t too sure what they actually had in to eat. He was probably needing to go shopping, although it was something he hated doing. They took turns with the shopping, and it was hard pretending to be rich on a budget. Jack hated shopping, it was really biting away at his college tuition but he couldn’t tell Theo that, he had to keep pretending. ”Jerk off sounds good, prick!” Jack snapped at him. The whole of Haddonfield knew far too much about it, it was frustrating, almost like owning your own version of Gossip Girl. ”At least I can get a girl,” Jack mumbled as he searched through the cupboards. ”Geez, Prick, can’t you buy anything decent!” he groaned. Though to be fair it had been a while since the shopping was done. ”I bet you want Larrissa anyway, that’s the only reason you’re being a bitch about the whole thing.” Finally he came across some bacon. A bacon sandwich would do him just fine. He pulled out a pan, contemplating first to hit Theo with it but that would only start up a fight. He could just imagine hitting Theo over and over and over on the head, pretending he was Mister Myers, it would be perfect. And then when he discovered it was Theo he could just fled the scene. It was a plan and a half. ”That’s an exaggeration,” Jack shrugged, ”And anyone can get more than you. I tell you this every day, prick, you’re single for a reason!” Some roommates would be good. So would girls, but hopefully one would be a guy called Eric. Then it would be far too ironic for Theo to refuse and he’d have to apologise to his roommate. ”Eric must be moving out, huh,”


Jack glanced over at Theo shortly, ”Uh yeah, he does... usually it’s when he hears from my mom. She’s backpacking. But he couldn’t go because he couldn’t get time off work. It’s kind of sweet they can’t go to sleep at night without speaking to each other,” he said quietly, his eyes unfocused as he said more lies of his happy family. The truth wasn’t to glamorous, but he hadn’t spoken to his mom in months. And he didn’t have a clue where she was. It was annoying, really annoying and it got to him like most things but like most things he kept them bottled up, or took it out on innocent kids, teenagers younger than him. Jack rolled his eyes, ”Don’t kid yourself, you’re scared.” Jack said as he lit the pan. Cooking was always a pain, maybe the next person who moved in could cook for them, but maybe with two new people they’d have to change the way they shop, like everyone buy for themselves. It would probably work out a lot better that way. ”We should then,” he said a plan forming in his head. Jack was known to be reckless and to hide his emotions so this wasn’t that strange coming from him. ”We can contact Sam or something, do an Ouija board and we can move the counter. They’d be fucking terrified. My brother used to always get on at Sean and Damien. He said that Sean had came onto him one time,” Jack grinned softly as he bit on his bottom lip. This would definetly fun, no it wouldn’t be fun, it would be horrible, and it would hurt him inside but it would look like he was having fun and if it looked that way then it would go with his perfect lifestyle. ”Or doesn’t Sean or Damien have any dead relatives, that would be better. They’d be in tears!”

Theo ignored Jack's painless glare. He guessed if Jack would actually just get over himself, then maybe the two of them could be friends. But Jack was a jerk, and he was stuck up. He thought he was great at everything and he really wasn't. Theo hated the fact that he was lazy with their training sessions and loved it when Mitchell put him on the bench. Jack deserved it. He didn't put half the effort in as he should have done. Theo wished they would kick him off the team, and he figured the only reason they didn't was because Jack had made out that his father was some sort of hot shot which of course was total bullshit.

He watched curiously as Jack searched for food in their bare kitchen. Theo had a stash of food in his bedroom, he wasn't one for being selfish but it pissed him off that Jack rarely contributed, the fact that he knew Jack wasn't as loaded as he made out was the only reason he didn't go wild on him. Theo raised a brow as Jack retaliated, he guessed that he must be trying to sound tough and hard, but in Theo's eyes he seemed rather pathetic and uptight. Jack was certainly not laid back because if he was, he wouldn't be as aggitated all the time, but Theo guessed this was most likely due to the fact he was constantly acting. "Buy your own food. Your the one who claims to be rich." He stated coolly. He glared at Jack frowning slightly. "Larrissa is not my type of girl. She's stuck up and prissy." He shrugged calmly. Jack was all full of himself and the world around him. But he needed to wake up. "Yeah, sure keep telling yourself. I am single because it means I can sleep with who I want and I don't have to committ myself to a relationship that I'm not wanting." He stated sarcastically. Theo would have loved to have punched Jack, and he knew by looking at Jack's gangly build he would have a good chance. Jack abused his body with drink and cigs, it wouldn't be a hard task to conquere.

Theo knew Jack's mom wasn't back packing, but the sharade had nothing to do with him. He wasn't going to burst his dreams. "Why doesn't your mom not just ring you?" He asked skeptically, he loved to challenge Jack, because as evident suggested Jack wasn't good at thinking on his feet. And the conversation twisted to Michael Myers. "Why would I be scared? It's a load of bullshit. He's probably rotting in some grave now. How many lives can some lunatic have?" He smirked. He was anything but scared about the whole Myer's thing and in fact he thrived on the buzz he got from other peoples reactions. Theo listened to him, and frowned, "But wouldn't that be distressing to you? Like to try and contact him?" Theo wasn't stupid and he wasn't oblivious to the way Jack obviously struggled with his brother's death and somehow tried to cover it up. Theo grinned as he mentioned moving the counter. "Yeah they would totally shit themselves! I'm sure Sean is a fudge packer & Damien actually. They're both camp" Theo stated shrugging his shoulders laughing slightly. This was probably one of the only subject topics that they could agree on. Theo wasn't sure trying to mimick someones dead relatives was such a good idea particularly in this small town. Everyone had a story and it usually wasn't pleasant.

Jack shook his head at Theo, it was almost as if he knew something about Jack, like he knew the truth in some way but how could he? He sighed and looked around the room, living with Theo was hard, almost as hard as living with his dad, only Theo wasn’t as abusive. ”Right.” Jack sighed irritably. If there was a time that you wanted to disappear it would be now. He wanted to be liked but for some reason he seemed to be so much of a jerk that he was disliked and that just made him more angry, and more thirsty for revenge and the final end. It was hard living with that as his only goal and his only dream but even so somehow he managed to do it. His life had been wandering around in crazy directions and he knew that surely he couldn’t be in a healthy state of mind. Leaving the dorm in the middle of the night to swim in a pond wasn’t healthy, and neither was fantasising killing every person you ever got angry with. He didn’t really look after his body or his mind anymore and he was beginning to wonder if it was starting to show. He pulled a cigarette out of his pocket and lit it up, a soothing relief, and something else he’d taken up since Halloween, almost three years ago. He took a long drag from it, breathing in the pleasures because he knew that Theo would most probably try and put it out in no time.

Jack glared over at Theo, it was as if every word was a dig. Jack usually bit back as good as he could but Theo seemed to have some knowledge from somewhere. ”I guess I’m not special enough.” he admitted, a slight bit sarcasm in his voice, but also a slight bit realism too. Jack knew it, Theo knew it but it seemed as if Theo was trying to push him enough so that he would admit it, so that he could break him down. If only Jack had something to use against Theo, and suddenly he realised he had. ”Oh well, at least my mom’s not dead. I guess she cares that much,” he sighed dramatically. So that dig would hurt Theo hopefully, maybe make him feel as lonely as Jack. Making people as sad as him gave him some sort of sad satisfaction. No wonder he wasn’t too popular nowadays. ”He’s not rotting in any grave, Theo. He’s ready and he’s waiting, biding his time.” Jack corrected his roommate bitterly. He had more faith than that, the only way Myers would be dead would be by his blade. He crossed his arms over his chest. ”I wouldn’t be trying to contact him and why the fuck would it be distressing? He’s dead, it’s been like three years. I’m over it anyway, he was a total prick to everyone but you and fucking MaCDonald. In fact he deserved what he got. Wouldn’t it not be distressing for you to contact him?!” Jack snapped. He’d always been bitter about the fact that Sam saw Theo as a friend he could hang out with where as Jack was always his little brother who would have to stay at home when the others went out. But he tried to hide his emotions. Jack jumped down from the bench and began to walk over to the window where he sat himself beside and looked out miserably.

Theo sighed deeply as Jack pulled out his cigarette. "You know you can't smoke indoors." He stated glaring at Jack, before the fire alarm went off. "Well done ass hole. Someone will come now, and you'll get in shit. You'll end up getting evicted." Theo stated snatching the cigarette from his housemate and stubbing it out in the sink. "If you want to smoke go outside. You've got no right to smoke inside." He stated firmly. Not only was it completely against the school rules to smoke on the premicise, it was also against the accomodation rules to smoke inside, plus Theo and the other housemates didn't smoke so Jack should respect them too. But Jack didn't. He was an asshole.

Theo glared at Jack and sighed deeply. "Yeah. My mom is dead. It's hardly a good come back Jack. I wasn't being a dick, I was just asking why your mom didn't just ring you, seen as you seem to avoid your dad's calls." He stated calmly, trying to control the anger he could feel build up. Jack was a prick. His parents were alive. Jack was running low on ammo and he was giving anything he could give. It was pathetic. Theo rolled his eyes at Jack's mindless insanity. "Maybe you need to be admitted to the Sanitorium. You and Laurie could sit and wait for Michael coming." He stated sarcastically. He didn't usually talk about Laurie especially since John was his best friend. Theo was only trying to be sensitive to Jack's obviously unstable mind. He'd have to warn Libbi about him before she moved in. "You don't believe that. If you did, you wouldn't be so fucking obsessed with the whole thing." He stated ignoring his jibe. "Your brother was a good guy." Theo stated, he didn't like people speaking untoward of the dead. "Jack. Maybe you need to get some help." Theo suggested as he walked toward the window. Jack did seem pretty screwed up.

Jack burst out laughing as the fire alarm went off. ”Good sound affect,” he cheered. He went to take another drag but Theo had other ideas apparently which Jack had expected. He sighed aggressively, ”Then I’ll move home. Big deal. Your life will return back to perfect.” Jack sighed. It would be sad to think that if it had been him who had died maybe people would be happier, that they would have wished for a swap of the two of them. He did wonder over it a lot, but he wasn’t as much like this when he was alive, he was a lot more timid. Recklessness was something which was part of the new addition. ”Whatever, if you weren’t so body obsessed you’d be smoking inside too.” Jack reminded him. Living with Theo was bad but when Theo and Mitchell were together it was worse. He hated his gym teacher, he wouldn’t even be on the team if it wasn’t for his dad insisting he had to be. He tried not to annoy his dad if he could help it, he’d seen ‘Dead Poet’s society’, Jack knew what happened when you went against your dads word.

”I don’t avoid them, I just miss them,” Jack argued. He didn’t feel too guilty for saying about Theo’s mom, in fact he didn’t really care about what he’d said, he was too involved with his own mind but being in this state of mind wasn’t healthy and he had to get out of it. Jack went and grabbed his hoody which he’d left out the day before, putting it on over his bare chest. Somehow it felt better to have something on him whilst he and Theo argued, it was like a cover up. He pulled up the hood. ”Yeah I’d rather be there than be here. She probably makes more sense than you. Actually the only reason she’s in there is because she killed the wrong guy. There’s nothing insane about that, he’s wearing a mask, how was she supposed to know? In fact she’s the only one who sees things clearly. Everyone else in this fucking town is just ignorant, and you’s will all end up dead sooner or later!” Jack predicted in a lecturing tone, there was only he and Laurie who knew the truth. Isolating himself to her might not have been the smartest thing to do in the world but it felt right. ”Even John, John of all people, he doesn’t think... he just gets over it.... Well he’s thick anyway, but I’m using him as bait.” he explained. He had it all planned out. From the eve of Halloween until the day after Jack would not be leaving John’s side. Jack scowled at Theo, ”I’m not obsessed with shit. Maybe, maybe he was a good guy to you but overall he was a prick. He taught me everything I know and I’m a prick. You should get over him. He really was an idiot, the only reason why everyone loved him was because he was good at football,” Jack sighed. He needed to get away from Theo now because he was putting him on the breaking point. The conversation was too tense. But with Theo’s suggestion Jack only stared out of the open window. He didn’t like the idea of getting some help, and he didn’t like the idea of Theo suggesting that he needed help. He stood up and walked smoothly past Theo until he could get to the kitchen area and pulled out a bottle of vodka. It was morning but Jack didn’t care. He pulled open the bottle and downed a bit of it, feeling the liquor sting at his throat. ”And I’ve got help now, thanks.” he scoffed.

Theo frowned at Jack, his behaviour was somewhat manic and inappropriate. "Your totally losing it." Theo responded, frowning slightly. He couldn't really understand why Jack was so obviously awful to everyone around him. He could actually have quite a comfortable life if he actually tried to be friends with people. Theo had never hated Jack, he'd gotten on well with his brother, but when he died, Jack became crazy and decided he hated Theo. He chose his bed, and now he had to lie in it. It was easier said than done though, because they had to share this accomodation, and there was only so long that Theo would put up with Jack's ass hole behaviour. Theo rolled his eyes, "Why would I want to smoke? I don't want to die suffocating on my own lungs." He stated bluntly, "Your dad would flip if he knew you smoked. That's why you don't get picked for the team. Your lung capacity is shit!" Theo retorted guessing Jack wouldn't know anything about lung capacity.

Theo glared at Jack, "Yeah, you miss them... avoid them. Its all the same. You refuse to answer your fathers calls." He pointed out, feeling his temper rise. He slowly began counting back from one hundred in his head, looking to control his anger because he couldn't do anything that would chance him getting kicked off the team, but he figured by now Coach wouldn't boot him, he was the best player, but he liked to work for his sport nevertheless. "Maybe you should turn up and admit yourself. You are actually losing the plot. Laurie is crazy. She's not just in there because of that she's in there because she's obsessed. Because she's a total nut job. You are beginning to sound like her." Theo's tone was optimistic, he really believed that maybe Jack was becoming unhinged and he was really looking forward to having other housemates to deal with it. "Leave John out of this." He stated firmly, John was his best friend and he wasn't having Wacko Jacko take him down. Theo rolled his eyes as Jack took the vodka. "Go on, drink yourself stupid. Your throwing your fucking life away. Just go and get yourself some help or you'll end up getting sectioned. You're clearly unstable." Theo shot glaring at him.

Jack rolled his eyes. He was not losing it, he was just confident, a bit manic at times but that was okay because he was only having fun. He supposed he didn’t take himself that seriously, or maybe he did, he didn’t know, he was confused by everything which was a usual event after talking to Theo who managed to put far more doubts into his mind than anyone he ever knew. ”Why wouldn’t you want to smoke?” Jack responded. He’d picked up the habit a year ago when things with him and Larrissa started hitting the rocks. He was a good boyfriend for the year before that but when things started to go bad he seemed to take a turn for the worst. ”You’re going to die anyway so why not make it exciting? Anyway, I have a plan for how I’m going to die so I don’t have to worry about that,” he corrected him. Nothing would get in the way of his death plans, nothing at all unless he ended up getting into a fight with Theo or Coachie and they ended up killing him but either way it would be murder. ”I don’t have to worry about that either because no one will be telling my dad!” Jack stated in a threatening tone as he glared at Theo. There was no need for his dad to get involved. Jack raised his eyebrow up at Theo as if he couldn’t believe what he was saying as he pulled a face, ”Are you fucking kidding me? Coachie has a personal fucking vendetta against me that’s why I don’t get picked for the team. I’m way better than half the pricks on that team who can’t even catch a ball.” Jack corrected him in an aggressive tone. Why was no one seeing what he was seeing with that football team? When he knew Coachie would always keep him on the bench where was the motivation to try? He’d asked about fifty times to play and usually Coachie just laughed in his face or ridiculed him. It was an on going cycle that wasn’t going to get any better.

He was beginning to get angry as Theo made speech attempts at interfering into his life. He glared at him, if only he could turn Theo into him somehow, switch bodies and then throw him in a room with his dad. Maybe then he’d know why he dodged his calls, he thought aggressively but it was hard to justify his aggression without letting Theo in on his life and that was the last thing Jack wanted to do so he held back from shoving him just this once. ”Fuck off,” Jack responded as Theo questioned his mental state of mind. He was fine, just angry and lonely and aggravated by his roommate. Jack gripped at his vodka bottle as he moved further into the kitchen area as he pulled out a knife from the cabinet. He traced his index finger over the blade, watching as a layer of blood sprung from within. It amused Jack how such a weak cut could cause so much blood. He turned his head to the side as he glanced at Theo. ”You think I’m unstable because I like sex and going to parties? Because I don’t have a perfect relationship with my parents and I’ve picked up the nasty habit of smoking? Get some new evidence Theo, I’m not insane, I’m perfectly well. I deal with things differently to you but I’m not dangerous, I’m just picking up the pieces and making an attempt of living. I don’t need to be sectioned anymore than you need to be sectioned,” he responded as he leaned against the counter, the blade resting gently upon his palm as he comfortably looked over at Theo.

Theo sighed as Jack rolled his eyes, it was almost like he was part of a movie. Jack was losing the plot and relatively quickly actually; kind of that Slater girl had done. He was so wrapped up he was unable to see that maybe he needed to stop, slow down and reevaluate things. Jack's life wasn't perfect and Theo knew it for a fact. There had been problems even when his brother was alive, but things seemed to have got worse when he died. Jack's brother had told him about the existing financial difficulties the family were in, but Jack at the time, had had no idea. Theo wondered if he was now aware of this, and the fact that his parents had marrage problems. With the death of your brother overriding it, it probably would be enough to tip someone firmly over the edge, it had only been a matter of time. "Why would I want to smoke?" Theo retorted sighing slightly. If only Jack wasn't so hostile, Theo would have tried to help him, but the problem was he didn't appear to want to be helped. "Suffocating wouldn't be exciting." He stated sighing deeply shaking his head. "You have a sick mind. Maybe your brother's death has effected you more than you think." He was cautious in the way he worded it but Theo owed Jack nothing. He had always been obstructive and cruel. "Look. Your beginning to piss me off." His words were blunt and harsh as he stepped forward in a somewhat defensive post.

He ignored Jack's speech and watched him carefully as he played with the knife. Theo could feel his pulse raise as his blue eyes remained sharp and alert. "Just put the knife down." He stated cautiously, he knew he was made but not this mad. "Don't do anything stupid. You'll only regret it Jack. It's not worth it." He tried, but he knew this was going to fail. His breathing increased as he felt himself tense with fear, he'd probably have to run for it, or attack, and he could only think the second option was the most stupid. How could you attack someone who had a knife. "Jack, I think we have got off to a rough start. There are many things we could help each other with. We're better off as allies not enemies." Theo stated racking his brain for ideas.

Jack scowled at Theo, he was so uncreative when it came to his death. But then again most people were and most people weren’t like Jack, most people didn’t actually consider who their first murder would be. He shook his head and rolled his eyes, ”Do me a favour, Theo, quit it with your psycho analysis.” Jack warned. It didn’t help when people told him he was crazy it just made him feel aggravated and angry. It didn’t exactly help him. ”Yeah and you’re beginning to piss me off too, you always piss me off.” he scolded. Jack eyed Theo at his defensive stance with a raised eyebrow. What was he doing? Did he want to fight him or something?

Jack glanced over at Theo as he started to warn Jack. He was acting strange, was he afraid? But what would he think Jack would do? He looked down at the knife and the small puddle of blood in his palm from his cut. But this was barely a scrape so what was Theo’s problem? Did he think Jack was going to hurt himself or hurt Theo? He blinked as this realisation came over him, for once in his life he had the upper hand. Theo was afraid of him! A small smile crept onto his face as he grabbed a hold of the knife, standing up as he eyed Theo. He wasn’t going to do anything but he could easily make the most out of Theo’s fear. ”Oh fuck off, I’m not your ally Theo, I’m fucking mortal enemy!” He stated as he moved towards him, the knife erect, Jack grinning, some crazy clownish smile. It was purposeful, he thought, he was sure, that hopefully it was because he was just scaring Theo, but then the smile dropped. ”I mean what really is your problem?” Jack asked him seriously. ”I don’t know how Sam even put up with you. Is that what your problem is?” Jack asked him slowly. He wandered closer towards Theo. ”You were his best friend, of course. You wish he was here don’t you, instead of me.” He took a deep breath as he looked up at Theo. ”And so does coachie right and that’s why I don’t get to play!” he growled, feeling anger well up inside of him. All Theo did was judge him, probably compare him and it was starting to really get to him. Now only inches away from him, with the knife outstretched Jack looked plainly into Theo’s face. His eyes never removed from his in the same bland expression. He would drop the act soon enough but before he did he wanted to scare him one last time. He raised his hand high the knife in it, ”I mean really, fuck you Theo,” he was sure that he would miss him, that it would skim past his arm and then he could burst out laughing, tell him he was taking the piss and they would get over it, only as Jack plunged the knife forward suddenly he felt the difference as it went through the air and through a person. It was an automatic reaction as Jack dropped the knife, his eyes widened, going from Theo’s face to the wound, to the blade, to the trembling of his blood stained hands. ”Theo I, I’m so sorry. I was just taking the piss, I didn’t mean to!” he began to panic, his eyes opening wide. It couldn’t have been serious could it but what if he’d hit a vein or something. He blinked several times, what was going to happen. ”I’m so, so, so sorry! What do you want me to do? Should I phone for an ambulance? Shit!” he exclaimed as he saw the blood. There was too much of it, more than his hand. The guilt inside of him began to rise as he watched helpless, what could he do? ”Fuck! I am messed up, what’s wrong with me?!”
